🦴🌟 Please support Dr. Kushagra Verma, Dr. Jeremy Smith, Dr. Khawar Siddique, Dr. Casey Slattery, Dr. Patricia Chang, and their global outreach team with providing life changing spine surgery in Ghana! 🌟🦴 A note below from Dr. Kushagra Verma:&nbsp; My name is Kushagra Verma, MD and I am a fellowship trained complex deformity spine surgeon&nbsp;in Southern California with practices in Los Angeles and Orange County. As a physician foremost, I am passionate in global outreach and providing pediatric deformity care for children and families in countries around the world. Recently, I founded my very own nonprofit organization, ASC Outreach, with a goal of hosting an outreach trip to Ghana annually where I, along with other fellow spine surgeons, come together to perform life changing surgeries for Ghanian children with severe scoliosis deformities. We do these surgeries at FOCOS Orthopaedic Hospital in Patang West Ghana, and we work very closely with the highly skilled surgeons at FOCOS to collaborate and deliver successful surgeries for the patients. I have been coming to this hospital ever since I was a medical student and have built an amazing friendship and relationship with the hospital and the surrounding community. We are now fundraising for our next physician led mission trip planned for January 2027 where we will go back to FOCOS Orthopaedic Hospital and help more fellow Ghanian children. In 2025, we were able to perform 11 FREE surgeries&nbsp;for patients with complex spine and scoliosis deformities with the help of donations from our community members. All of the patients have doing incredibly well after surgery. Last year, we fundraised as a team to cover the cost of surgeries. For this upcoming mission trip, we would greatly appreciate any contribution, big or small, to help us provide even more surgical care to Ghanian children in need. There are still thousands of kids awaiting surgery. 100% of proceeds go towards covering the trip in various ways including: covering surgery and post op care, travel costs for spine surgeons, APPs, nurses, and other medical providers attending the mission trip.
