The Kissimmee Woman&#39;s Club is proud to announce that our application for a Florida Historical Marker honoring Minnie Moore Wilson has been officially approved by the Florida Historical Marker Council. Minnie Moore Wilson was a pioneering author, advocate for the Seminole Tribe of Florida, and the first president of the Kissimmee Woman&#39;s Club. Her efforts helped preserve Seminole history and support legislation that secured more than 99,000 acres of land for the perpetual use of the Seminole people. This marker will be permanently installed in front of the Kissimmee Woman&#39;s Club, ensuring that future generations learn about her remarkable contributions to our community and to Florida history. Our goal is to raise $3,200 to cover the cost of fabricating and installing the marker. Every donation, large or small, will help make this lasting tribute possible. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Kissimmee Woman&#39;s Club appreciates your support in preserving local history and honoring one of Osceola County&#39;s most influential women.
