This past Thursday, July 10, 2025, two of our beloved Leicester Police Officers were struck and seriously injured while safely riding their motorcycles off-duty in Worcester, MA. The operator of the other involved vehicle, who has been arrested and charged with Operating Under the Influence, pulled out in front of Eddie Santiago and Stephen Kustigian in the area of 194 Summer Street. Eddie and Stephen were badly injured, one of them even requiring a tourniquet to be applied by a witness on scene. &nbsp;They both remain at UMASS Memorial Medical Center on Lake Avenue in Worcester receiving incredible care. Their injuries range from a shattered pelvis, spinal fractures, a broken arm, a broken leg, a broken scapula, a broken clavicle, a collapsed lung, numerous transfusions, a chest tube, and facial lacerations just to name the most significant injuries. Both of these dedicated and well-respected Leicester public servants have long recoveries ahead of them and will need our help! &nbsp;Thankfully they&rsquo;re surrounded by incredible family and friends, and have an inspiring survivor mindset!! We, the members of the Leicester Police Alliance (LPA), are here for the long haul to support our officers in their recoveries. &nbsp;From crash, to clearance for duty, we will be here for them and their families, and we hope you are willing to help us to that end. To be equally clear, NONE of these donated funds will go to any union accounts, overhead, LPA operating costs or any expenses associated with the union. &nbsp;Full stop. &nbsp;No exceptions. &nbsp;All funds collected will help cover their incurred medical expenses, offset their expenses as a result of this horrific crash, and bridge the gap between their any possible paid time off running out, where and if that happens. Any funds raised beyond the need will go directly to a local, vetted, long standing charity that recognizes and helps sick and injured first responders and military veterans.
