85 cats. 100-degree days. One struggling HVAC system.We currently have 85 cats in our care, including 17 with special medical needs, and St. Louis is in the middle of another stretch of temperatures around 100 degrees.Our aging HVAC system is struggling to keep up. Even with the thermostat set no lower than 74 degrees, the shelter is staying around 80 degrees at night and climbing to about 83 during the day. With the added humidity, that is simply too warm for the cats in our care, especially those recovering from illness, injury, surgery and other medical conditions. We need to raise $7500 to help get our cooling system through this heat.Our HVAC company has identified repairs and updates that can help the system keep up and make the shelter more comfortable for the cats who depend on us. So this September, we are asking:&nbsp;Will you be our Santa in September and help bring the cats some cold air?Every contribution will matter.
