Develop Talent in Yourself and OthersHelp TAFT Foundation launch its first Leadership & Career Workshop in the Washington, D.C.–Maryland–Virginia (DMV) region, creating an engaging learning experience where high school students can explore career pathways, develop leadership skills, and discover how their talents can help others grow.At TAFT Foundation, we believe young people grow as leaders not only by developing their own talents, but also by learning how to recognize, encourage, and develop the talents of others. Through career conversations, interactive activities, small-group discussions, and guidance from educators and professionals, students will explore their strengths, learn about educational and career pathways, and consider how tutoring, mentoring, teaching, and service can become meaningful forms of leadership. The workshop will also introduce students to TAFT Foundation's Tutor and Future Teacher (TAFT) Program, which connects youth leadership development with peer tutoring and mentoring and exploration of future careers in education. Your support will help make this workshop possible.Funds raised will support:• Educational materials and workshop supplies • Refreshments for participating students • Educational gifts and student recognition items • Stipends for workshop facilitators and prospective program supervisors • Honoraria for invited education experts, when applicable • Local transportation and program implementation expenses • Follow-up activities supporting future library-based youth programming in the DMV region Our goal is to raise $2,500 to launch this inaugural workshop and support its immediate follow-up activities.Every contribution—large or small—helps create a professionally supported learning experience where young people can explore an important question: How can I develop my own talents—and use them to help others grow?Thank you for helping TAFT Foundation create opportunities for young people to learn, lead, mentor, and inspire.
