Merlin is a beautiful 3 year old Cocker Spaniel. When the&nbsp;Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary rescued Merlin we found out he had a terrible ear infection. We immediately started treating his ear with medication but nothing cured him. Eventually we found out Merlin has a type of bacteria &nbsp;that is resistant to antibiotics. We now know that Merlin has had this painful condition for a very long time and it has caused his ear canal to be severely damaged . His only hope for a recovery and a pain-free life is to have the infected ear canal surgically removed.&nbsp;The surgery will cost nearly $5000, so we have decided to start a fundraising campaign to provide Merlin with the care he needs. &nbsp;An important part of the Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary mission is to help provide medical care to the cats and dogs that we rescue before we placed them up for adoption. &nbsp;The Sanctuary is a non-profit entirely run by volunteers, we do not receive any government funding and we can only do this job because of the generous support we receive from our community.We hope you can help us help this wonderful dog.
