Bee Oasis Costa Rica, in partnership with Torunes Farm and SoulGives, is on a mission to save the stingless Melipona bees, restore their habitats, and protect the fragile ecosystems they support. Why This Mission Matters

Melipona bees and other pollinators are responsible for sustaining nearly 80% of the world’s plant species, including the fruits and vegetables we rely on daily. Their pollination ensures food security, fosters biodiversity, and strengthens the delicate balance of nature. Yet, habitat destruction, deforestation, and climate change are driving them toward extinction.

Our Solution: Reforestation and Conservation

At Bee Oasis Costa Rica, we are rebuilding what has been lost. Through large-scale reforestation projects at Torunes Farm, we are planting thousands of flowering trees, vines, and plants that provide year-round nutrition and safe habitats for native pollinators. Each tree we plant is a beacon of hope, restoring ecosystems and strengthening Melipona bee populations.

Empowering Local Farmers and Indigenous Beekeepers

Our work goes beyond conservation—we empower indigenous farmers and local beekeepers by providing the resources, training, and support needed to adopt sustainable beekeeping practices. This not only preserves traditional beekeeping knowledge but also creates economic opportunities rooted in environmental stewardship.
