Carter Moss has poured so much of himself into Submerge, Ocean Beach and the people who call this community home. He shows up, serves quietly, loves people deeply and never asks for anything in return. Right now, Carter truly needs a reliable vehicle, but in classic Carter fashion, he would never ask anyone to help make that happen. A few members of the Submerge family have felt called to come together and do something big for someone who has done so much for all of us. Carter has always dreamed of owning a vintage Volkswagen van, and we would love to surprise him by making that dream a reality. Every contribution, no matter the amount, will go toward purchasing a safe, reliable vintage VW van and covering the initial costs needed to get him on the road. This is our chance to love Carter the way he has loved our community: generously, joyfully and without expecting anything in return. Let’s rally around him, put his dream in drive and give him a gift he will never forget. Please spread the word but help us keep this fundraiser a secret from Carter so we can make it a BIG surprise! Have a connection that could help? We’d also love to hear from anyone who knows a trusted source for vintage VW vans or an experienced mechanic who can help us evaluate potential vehicles. Our goal is not just to find Carter’s dream van, but to make sure we choose the safest, most reliable and best possible fit for him.
