Red Dirt Biennale 2026- Fundraiser Video

What is RDB?

Red Dirt Biennale is not just another art exhibition. We are trying to build an experience here, an experience that will stay for more than just the biennale weekend.

Camp Hill is not just a location. Camp Hill is part of the experience.

For one weekend, different locations across Camp Hill will become art pavilions, public spaces, and places where people can meet, reflect, connect, and imagine.

But we will not stop there.

There will be events before and after the biennale that support Camp Hill and nearby communities. We want to use art to listen, understand, create, and share.

Theme of RDB 2026

It is your time to support us

Some of our principles are simple.

No tickets

Art should be free. Everyone should be able to experience it.

No submission fee for artists

We want to welcome everyone. We do not want money to become another barrier for artists.

Support local artists

We need to support the artists who are giving their time, ideas, and work to RDB.

Create safe spaces

We need to make sure every space where the audience will walk, gather, and experience the art is safe.

Students Biennale

You do not have to be an experienced artist. We want to showcase students, emerging artists, first time artists, and people who have never shown their work before.

The biennale should not end

We do not want to say that the biennale is over after one weekend. We plan to create events and programs throughout the year that support artists, young people, and the community.

Face to face outreach

We believe in meeting people directly. We will grow this biennale through conversations, community support, and word of mouth.

This is your biennale

Everyone can participate. This is not only for artists or organizers. This belongs to everyone.

How can you support RDB?

If you are new here, there are three main ways to participate.

1. Make Art

Bring your vision, your craft, and your skills.

We have five pavilions and one stage.

We are looking for visual artists, installation artists, performers, musicians, filmmakers, photographers, writers, designers, scientists, storytellers, and creative people of all kinds.

You do not have to call yourself an artist to participate.

2. Volunteer

Build, clean, paint, carry, install, welcome people, document the event, and help bring the spaces to life.

The town will run on shared labor.

We will work mostly on weekends during August, September, and October.

Even a few hours of your time can help us. Link to the email list https://forms.gle/Jdohx3yuWMUUWPFJ7

3. Donate

If you cannot give your time or your art, give resources.

Give us money.

Your donation will support the free programs, community initiatives, artists, public spaces, and the impossible works of imagination we are trying to create.

All donations are tax deductible through our fiscal sponsor, ACROSS Network. After making your donation, you can download your tax receipt directly from Zeffy.

Where does your money go?

Yes, you may wonder where your money goes.

Our budget does not only go toward spectacle.

It goes toward the artists, the spaces, the safety, and the programs that make this biennale possible.

Artist grants

We believe in supporting local art and local artists.

RDB 2026 plans to support three temporary outdoor installations.

Each selected artist will receive a $500 artist grant to help create their work.

Lighting and ambience

It is not just about placing art inside a building.

The light, atmosphere, sound, and the way people experience each space are also part of the art.

Most of our locations do not have exhibition lighting or art hanging systems.

We have to create that experience from the beginning.

Your support will help us provide temporary lighting, hanging systems, electrical equipment, tools, and installation materials for five locations.

Safety and visitor services

We need to make sure every visitor, volunteer, artist, and community member is safe and comfortable.

This includes medic services, permits, insurance, portable toilets, signage, emergency lighting, parking areas, accessibility planning, traffic support, and other services needed for a public event.

Programming throughout the year

Our plan is not to create something that exists for only one weekend.

We want Red Dirt Biennale to become a tradition with talks, workshops, exhibitions, performances, screenings, community gatherings, and creative programs throughout the year.

Community initiatives

We are planning weekly community forums, conversations, and programs that connect artists with Camp Hill and nearby communities.

We are also developing a Kids Club that connects Biennale artists with young people from nearby towns and cities.

This can create opportunities for teaching, skill sharing, mentorship, and creative exploration.

Every contribution, large or small, will help us transform historic and overlooked spaces into welcoming art pavilions.

Why now?

At a time when rural histories are being forgotten and communities are becoming increasingly unrooted, Camp Hill invites us to remember, reconnect, and imagine new possibilities.

It is hard to make art now.

Many people are trying to find other ways to survive.

People also call AI art the new art.

This is why we need to stand with people who love creating, making, thinking differently, and using their hands, voices, bodies, memories, and imaginations.

This is everyone’s biennale.

Everyone is welcome here.

Who we are

And when you support us, you become part of this too.

This is our first year

Yes, we do not have a lot to say yet about what we did.

This is our first time.

But next time, we hope we will have many stories to share about what we built, who participated, what happened inside these spaces, and how people came together.

Those stories will exist because of your support.

You are not only supporting a one-of-a-kind event.

You are supporting a dream that can become a dream for other towns, cities, and communities.

Let’s dream together.

Let’s create with us. #letsgotocamphill
