🚨 URGENT HELP NEEDED 🚨 Meet our new fluffy girl&hellip; and tonight she is fighting for her life. And heartbreakingly&hellip; she doesn&rsquo;t even have a name yet. She was found trapped in a chain, and you can see how hard she fought to survive&mdash;her nails are broken and bloody from trying to free herself. Her leg is in very bad shape&hellip; cold, possibly no blood flow, and likely not salvageable at least at the paw. It may be worse. Right now, though, the bigger fight is everything else her body is going through. She has a fever, her leg is infected and smells, and the vet is hearing heart gallops which could mean underlying heart issues. There&rsquo;s also concern for organ damage from everything she endured while trapped. She is being hospitalized now. She needs labs, careful fluids (if her heart can handle it), antibiotics, and strong pain control. They&rsquo;re working to clean and assess her leg so we know what we&rsquo;re facing next. We have elected CPR if she needs it&mdash;because we are fighting for her. 💔 Estimated cost to stabilize her: $2,500&ndash;$3,000We cannot do this without you. She is incredibly sweet. She has eaten and loved it (great sign!). While the gallop is no longer heart in her heart, a murmur has replaced it.&nbsp; She is not out of the woods yet though. I spoke to the surgeon and her paw is dead, dead! From the metatarsals down. Her ankle is unstable and while it could be pinned and frozen in place so that she could have the opportunity to try to use a prosthetic, the surgeon we spoke to recommends a full, high amputation.&nbsp; There are so many factors to take into consideration with these decisions. The risk of placing hardware while an active infection is present. The risk of a necrotic foot turning her septic the longer it is there. The fact that we have possible heart concerns. All of this is hard. We do not want to make the wrong decision for our girl. Once you remove something you can never add it back. But if you don&#39;t remove enough fast enough, sometimes you loose the life entirely.&nbsp; Please keep our girl and everyone in your thoughts. We wish for comfort and safety for her.
