JoJo’s Hope Foundation is launching our Emergency Comfort Bear Program to place specially designed comfort bears in the hands of first responders across Mississippi. These bears are created to provide a sense of safety, comfort, and reassurance to children during some of the most frightening moments of their lives. Whether a child is experiencing a house fire, accident, domestic crisis, displacement, or another emergency, a first responder can offer them something soft to hold and a reminder that they are not alone. Each Emergency Comfort Bear includes thoughtful details designed around that message of hope, including:

A soft, comforting teddy bear wearing a JoJo’s Hope vest

“You Are Safe” embroidered on the back

Encouraging words hidden inside the vest

JoJo’s Hope Foundation branding and Mississippi details

Packaging designed so bears can be stored and ready for use in emergency vehicles

Our goal is to place these bears with fire departments, ambulance services, law enforcement agencies, sheriff’s departments, and other first responders throughout Mississippi, beginning with communities where resources may be limited.Your donation helps us purchase, prepare, package, and distribute Emergency Comfort Bears so that when a child is facing a frightening situation, a first responder has more than words to offer—they have something the child can hold onto. Together, we can put comfort in the hands of those who serve and hope in the hands of a child.Serve. Restore. Hope.
