Dear Friends and Supporters, Our farm community has always counted on the pleasure of fresh, pasture-raised eggs from our beloved flock. Recently, however, our feathered friends have faced unprecedented challenges that have disrupted our ability to provide for the community.  The Challenge We’re FacingPredators have taken a devastating toll on our flock. Despite our farmers’ tireless efforts to protect them, foxes, hawks, and other wildlife have repeatedly breached our aging henhouse and enclosure. What was once a secure home has become vulnerable, leaving our hens at risk and our egg production severely compromised. Our Solution: A New, Predator-Proof CoopAfter carefully evaluating our options—from eliminating egg shares entirely to becoming solely an egg reseller—we’ve chosen the path that keeps our farm’s mission alive: building a secure, industry standard enclosure that will finally give our hens the protection they need. This new structure will fully enclose the birds as they take their journey around the farm’s pastures- making it impossible for predators to access them as they go about their day. In addition, the design will allow more room for our chickens during roosting, easier cleaning and maintenance, as well as more efficient egg collection.
