Those who spend their lives caring for others deserve places to be cared for, too.Restore the Helper was created to support the people who are so often supporting everyone else—clergy, healthcare professionals, educators, first responders, and family caregivers. Our mission is to provide Christian faith-integrated and evidence-informed support that restores, equips, and strengthens those who serve others. And this work has already begun. Restore the Helper is currently providing one-on-one support to helpers, and this fall we are preparing to host our first restorative retreat in Morley, Michigan. This retreat will create intentional space for participants to step away from the demands of serving, rest, reflect, connect, and return to their families and communities strengthened. Through restorative retreats, one-on-one support, educational programming, and partnerships with churches and community organizations, we hope to continue building meaningful opportunities for those who spend so much of their lives pouring into others. As a newly established Michigan nonprofit, we are building from the ground up. Your support will help fund our first retreat and programs, participant resources and scholarships, outreach, and the essential startup costs needed to build a sustainable organization. Every gift—large or small—helps us continue something we believe is deeply needed: a place where the helpers can be helped, too. Thank you for helping us build Restore the Helper and care for those who spend their lives caring for others.I especially like adding “And this work has already begun.” It shifts the message from help us start an idea to help us grow work that is already happening.
