Two white doves flank a red heart with a blue house inside, set against a radiating yellow and blue background, with a purple banner bearing the words "Where Hope Lives" stretched between two nails in the foreground, and the text "La Paloma Blanca Ministries, Inc." above and below.

Where Hope Lives Our mission at La Paloma Blanca Ministries, Inc. is to provide a safe place for people who find themselves without a home because of struggles with addiction, abuse, neglect, widowhood, displacement, financial hardship, or simply because they were never given the basic life skills they need to stand on their own. Our ministry began in 2014, and in 2018 La Paloma Blanca Ministries became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Since the beginning, my husband and I have opened our home, our property, our hearts, and our resources to people who needed somewhere safe to begin again. Together, we have personally carried the financial responsibility of this ministry, trusting God to provide as each need came before us. But our vision has never been simply to put a roof over someone's head. We want to provide a place where a person can feel safe, protected, loved, and that they belong. A place where they have an opportunity to heal, learn, grow, and discover that their past does not have to determine their future. Through ministry, counsel, practical life skills, accountability, and spiritual growth, we help people learn their worth, set healthy boundaries and goals, develop communication skills and healthy relationships, address recovery issues and triggers, and begin building a stable life. Our desire is to help each person become dependent on God, yet independent in life, discovering their God-given purpose and becoming someone who can not only better their own life, but one day help better the lives of others. And our ministry reaches beyond the people who live in our homes. When God puts a need in front of us, we do our best to help. Over the years, we have helped people pursue an education, start businesses, keep their electricity on, obtain transportation, and take practical steps toward becoming stable and self-sufficient. We also believe strongly in reaching beyond our own community through missions and outreach, sharing the love and hope of Jesus wherever God opens a door. Today, that mission continues to grow. Rooted & Rising Transitional Living is allowing us to provide additional transitional housing, while For His Glory Thrift & Consignment gives people opportunities to volunteer, learn responsibility, develop practical skills, and gain experience that can help prepare them for employment. Everything we do is built on the foundation of Jesus Christ, the Holy Scriptures, and the power of the Holy Spirit. Our heart is to give hope to those who feel hopeless, direction to those who cannot see a future, and ultimately lead people into a life-giving relationship with Jesus Christ and reconciliation with our Heavenly Father. Now, for the first time, we are opening the door for others to come alongside us. Your gift helps us continue providing housing, food, utilities, transportation, education, practical assistance, outreach, missions, and the everyday resources needed to help people move from crisis toward stability and into purpose. Whether your gift is large or small, you become part of helping someone have a safe place to begin again, take their next step forward, and know that there is still hope.
