At just 10 weeks old, Nubs was dumped at Cozy Critter Rescue in a cardboard box.She was scared, suffering from a painful leg injury and a severely damaged tail that was dangling, infected, and oozing. &nbsp;Based on the extent of her injuries, we believe she may have been struck by a vehicle. We rushed Nubs to the emergency veterinary hospital, where she was examined immediately. She was sent home with antibiotics and pain medication to begin treating the infection and relieve her pain. Unfortunately, her tail cannot be saved. Once the infection is under control, Nubs will need surgery to amputate her tail. After surgery, she&#39;ll need continued veterinary care, medications, follow-up visits, and several weeks of recovery. We are incredibly grateful to a wonderful organization that recently awarded Cozy Critter Rescue a grant to help during kitten season. That funding is already helping cover veterinary expenses for vulnerable kittens, as well as animals like sweet Tom Cat, an elderly cat who was left to fend for himself, and Duncan, our special-needs kitty who hops like a bunny after suffering an injury as a kitten. Unfortunately, emergency cases like Nubs quickly stretch those resources.Today, we&#39;re asking for your help. Your donation will go directly toward Nubs&#39; surgery, medical care, and recovery.
