There have been too many K9s injured and or killed while on duty due to not having a bullet proof vests like the officers they work side by side with. We donate level 3 ballistic vests to departments that have K9s but not the funding for vests due to the high cost of getting a K9 and equipping a vehicle and the ongoing training needed to maintain them. Funds we raise are used to purchase ballistic vests and K9 1st aid kits for working K9S. Any funds donated above our posted goal will be used on other equipment needed and or another K9 in need of a Ballistic Vest or equipment that may be needed to help them stay safe  We also are looking to raise funds to donate K9 heat alarms for K9 cruisers that are in need of them. These alarms notify the K9 handler by pager and alarm as well as automatically roll down windows and turn on window fans (if equipped with them) if the temperature gets to high in their cruiser, they are a very important safety addition that a lot of smaller Town Departments don't have the funds for or the ones they do have are not operating correctly anymore.  These alarm systems run between $1800 and $2000 each depending on the options needed.
