Help us save our story Help Us Save Our StoryThis fundraising effort is dedicated to preserving, protecting, and sharing Sarpy County’s history during an important transition. After months of carefully documenting, packing, and moving our collections, these irreplaceable pieces of our community’s story are now safely housed in climate-controlled and additional storage while we work toward our future Heritage Center. Our current storage cost is approximately $2,700 per month for 13 climate-controlled storage units, plus three additional storage units. But safeguarding our history involves more than storage.Your contribution helps support the ongoing needs of preserving and caring for our collection, including storage, maintenance, staffing, supplies, audio-visual equipment, software, and other essential expenses included in our operating budget. These are the resources needed to protect the history entrusted to us today while preparing it to be accessible, meaningful, and engaging for generations to come.Even better, eligible contributions help us take advantage of available matching funds, making your support go even further. We’ve created four levels of support:

One month: $150

Three months: $450

Six months: $900

One full year: $1,800

Every level of support helps us preserve, protect, and care for Sarpy County’s history.Sponsors who contribute $1,800 for a full year will receive special recognition by having their name displayed on one of our storage units for the year. You may choose to display your name, your family’s name, your business’s name, or dedicate the sponsorship in honor or memory of someone special.
