Text promoting a "Sponsor-A-Family" holiday event for Secular Humanists of Western Lake Erie and Lucas County Children Services is layered over a light wood background decorated with gift boxes and ornaments.

We are joining with the Lucas County Children Services to provide a leg up this holiday season to a struggling family. We've done this charity work for several years and each year our friends and members out do themselves in giving.  We are assigned a family to sponsor. It is usually a parent or care giver and one or two young children. They give us a list of wants and needs and we donate the items or you can donate money we then use to purchase gifts for the family. Your gift helps us stand with a local family this holiday season. Together, we can provide practical support—like food, essentials, and small comforts—rooted in empathy, reason, and shared humanity. 🎁 Every contribution, of any size, helps. Funds raised will be used for this cause either this year or in future years.
