The Schuylar Barnes Foundation was created out of the deepest heartbreak imaginable&mdash;the loss of my daughter, Schuylar, at just 31 years old after an 18-month battle with cancer. Schuylar lived her life with a heart for people. She served others, loved BIG, and believed in &ldquo;Love Like Crazy.&rdquo; After she went home to be with Jesus, I knew I couldn&#39;t let her legacy end with her death. The foundation was created to take the love and compassion Schuylar poured into others and carry it forward to people who are hurting, vulnerable, and often forgotten. Today, our mission reaches three very different groups of people, but they all have one thing in common: they need hope. 🦋 Broken to BeautifulOur Broken to Beautiful Movement provides community and support for mothers who have lost a child.Through Grief Journey Groups, retreats, encouragement and faith-based connection, we create a safe place where grieving moms can find people who understand their pain.We can&#39;t take away their loss, but we can make sure they don&#39;t have to walk through grief alone. 🎒 The Schuylar ProjectThe Schuylar Project provides backpacks to trafficking survivors when they are rescued and begin their journey toward healing.Each backpack includes items such as a Bible, blanket, journal and pen, hygiene products and comforting items.More than a backpack, it is a tangible reminder:You are seen. You are loved. You are worthy. You are not forgotten. 💚 The Hope ProjectThe Hope Project serves teens living in foster care group homes.We provide backpacks filled with Bibles, blankets, comfort items and other necessities. Throughout the year, we continue showing these young people that they matter through Christmas stockings, Easter baskets, gifts and special acts of kindness.
