Together, we can work to promote, protect and provide for our beloved domestic ferrets (Mustela putorius furo) and their cousins, Black-Footed Ferrets (Mustela nigripes).One important objective of the AFA is helping fund the preservation of the endangered black-footed ferret (BFF). These ferrets require vaccines just like our domestic ferrets but it is not as simple as making an appointment with the veterinarian. The cost of necessary field work to include finding and capturing the BFF is about $500 per dose of vaccine.
