Project Grant Model Canvas – Hipknotics Digital Course Expansion
Goals
The goal is to expand the Hipknotics program into a high-quality digital course that integrates hip-hop music, podcasting, and content creation with social-emotional learning (SEL). This course will increase accessibility for students, educators, and community organizations while generating sustainable revenue for the nonprofit.
Issue/Challenge
Traditional education often lacks engaging, culturally relevant content that resonates with diverse learners. Additionally, many schools and organizations lack on-site resources to implement innovative SEL programs like Hipknotics. A digital course allows us to bridge this gap, reaching more students beyond our local school district.
Outcome
- A fully developed digital course with video modules, interactive activities, and lesson plans aligned with SEL standards.
- A scalable program that can be licensed by schools, after-school programs, and youth organizations.
- Increased student engagement in SEL through music and media, leading to improved confidence, collaboration, and creative expression.
- A new sustainable revenue stream for the nonprofit, ensuring long-term impact.
Response
We will develop an on-demand digital learning experience, combining pre-recorded lessons, guided exercises, and interactive assignments. Schools and organizations will have flexible access to implement Hipknotics within their curriculum. The program will include:
- Music Creation Modules – Teaching students how to write, record, and produce music.
- Podcasting Modules – Helping students develop storytelling, public speaking, and technical skills.
- SEL Integration – Lessons that build emotional intelligence, teamwork, and self-awareness through creative expression.
