Holidays in the Kitchen is an initiative led by the Specialized Workforce Training Center in collaboration with the individuals supported through our vocational training programs. This program provides fresh, healthy, and portion-controlled traditional holiday meals for individuals and their family, particularly those who may not have the ability or resources to prepare a holiday meal themselves. All meals are prepared by our Culinary Chefs with assistance from the individuals enrolled in our vocational culinary training program at The Arc Erie County. Through this initiative, participants gain valuable hands-on culinary experience while giving back to their community. Each holiday season, the culinary students, under the supervision of the chefs, will prepare up to 75 meals for low-income individuals and families supported by The Arc Erie County who are experiencing food insecurity and receiving public assistance. We are asking our Board members to help defer the cost of this initiative by donating to Holidays in the Kitchen. Your generosity will help brighten the spirits of the individuals we support during this holiday season. Thank you for making a meaningful difference.
