With mounting bills and being two months behind on rent, he and his three sons were evicted from their apartment. Now more than ever, they truly need support. They&rsquo;ve managed to find an affordable hotel for now, and we were able to help cover a few nights, but they still urgently need assistance. It&rsquo;s especially difficult to find shelter options for men with children compared to those available for women with children. I&rsquo;m asking from the bottom of my heart, please let&rsquo;s come together to help this family. He told me he&rsquo;s starting to lose hope, and they need us now more than ever. &mdash;&mdash;&mdash;&mdash;Recently, while putting away groceries at Sam&rsquo;s Club, I encountered a gentleman asking if I could Zelle a small amount in exchange for chicharrones they had. As we began talking, he shared that he works full-time in construction and is a father of three children. His wife, Angelica, is currently battling cancer. He explained that nearly all of his income goes toward her medical care. Angelica will be undergoing chemotherapy for the next six months, and just one of her prescribed medications costs $300. The financial weight of treatment has been overwhelming for their family. After sharing about Jesus, we prayed together. He then told me he had felt led to bring his children over because they were hungry and had no food or money for groceries. Although I was able to give them some of my groceries that day, their need continues &mdash; especially with ongoing medical expenses.I am personally keeping communication with Angelica and her husband as they walk through this difficult season.At Se&ntilde;oritas with Cristo, we believe in being the hands and feet of Jesus &mdash; not only praying, but actively serving those in need.&ldquo;Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.&rdquo; &mdash; 1 John 3:18Through our ministry&rsquo;s benevolence assistance program, we are raising funds to support families facing medical hardship, including Angelica&rsquo;s current treatment needs.
