Aloha, As a nonprofit 501(c)(3), HAPAH is a proud fiscal sponsor of the HOSA-Future Health Professionals chapter at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo. HOSA is an international student-led organization that aims to encourage our students to pursue a career in healthcare. Our students learn to develop their leadership and clinical skills through workshops, competitive events, and community service. Annually, HOSA members participate in regional, state, and international conferences as a means to empower and showcase theirknowledge and ability.  We are excited to share that our HOSA members from UH Hilo placed 1st in the Public Service Announcement event at the Hawaii HOSA State Leadership Conference that took place on February 17-19, 2025, at the Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this event, HOSA members are required to create a 30-second PSA in accordance with the topic (Brain Health - Now is the Time to Start), followed by a four-minute presentation to explain the premise of the PSA.  UH Hilo continues its competition journey to Nashville, Tennessee, from June 18-21, 2025, to participate in the HOSA International Leadership Conference! In addition to the HOSA competitive events, students will be immersed in workshops, educational symposiums, and leadership seminars to expand their skills, gain exposure to various health career opportunities, and network with a diverse group of students and health professionals.  UH Hilo is sending two students and one advisor to the conference to represent Hawaii and UH! As we know, travel is expensive, and we are kindly and humbly reaching out to you to request any monetary donations that can help with the funding of our travel expenses to Nashville, Tennesee.
