An ornate, circular ceiling with colorful painted panels and wooden beams converges toward a dark central opening.

Help Preserve Our Pavilion and the Story It Carries. As Houston-Taipei Society celebrates 65 years of friendship between Houston and Taipei, you can help care for a landmark that embodies this lasting connection. The Friendship Pavilion, a gift from Taipei, Houston’s first sister city, stands in the McGovern Centennial Gardens within Hermann Park. For generations, it has served as a symbol of cultural connection and friendship between our communities. The Pavilion now needs restoration from the inside out, not simply a renewed appearance. With the City of Houston allocating funding for its renovation, our community has an opportunity to help carry this shared effort forward. Our goal is to raise $200,000 for the Friendship Pavilion’s restoration. Your gift helps cover costs such as restoration materials, skilled labor, repair supplies, and maintenance, supporting the work to preserve this landmark for future generations. Houston-Taipei Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. EIN: 74-1665184 Donate, become a sponsor and spread the word. Join us in preserving the Pavilion and shaping the next chapter of Houston-Taipei friendship. Thank you for helping keep our shared story alive.
