They are housed in a loving foster home and visit a veterinarian who lives within reach of the foster. There they receive an exam, needed vaccines, bloodwork, dental exam, microchip, spay or neuter, heartworm prevention and any needed follow up visits. If the dog needs to see a specialist for a life-altering or life-saving surgery, that is arranged.
