On February 28th, our world was turned upside down. As many of you know, our mom fought a long and difficult battle with her health. She was diagnosed with renal failure in 2008 and spent 15 years on the transplant list, hoping for a kidney. Despite never receiving one, she remained strong and resilient, undergoing home-hemodialysis treatments herself—something that amazed everyone who knew her. It seemed like every other year brought a new challenge, but she faced each one with courage and determination. With only a 50/50 chance of survival, she fought with everything she had. Sadly, her body could not endure the stress of recovery. While we understood the risks, she was willing to take them for the chance of a better life. Even in her toughest moments, her only concern was ensuring that her children were okay. Money was always tight, but our mom never let us feel the weight of our struggles. She made sure we were safe, happy, and loved—giving us everything she could, even when she had little herself. Dinorah was a pillar of strength and positivity, inspiring so many with her perseverance.
