Volunteers assemble and distribute various hand-made gift projects, play bingo with patients, do arts and crafts, and provide companionship to patients. Each month we visit Covenant’s Joe Arrington Cancer Research and Treatment Cancer Hospital and the UMC Cancer Center reaching about 400+ patients and families per month. The purpose is to raise funds to continue to support the local cancer community in West Texas and to unite the community in support of cancer patients. Entertainment includes food trucks, live performances, TTU organizations, sponsors and local vendors. Organizations and local vendors will have tables for attendees to shop, interact with the fun crafts, or learn about support services for Cancer Patients in the Lubbock. At sunset, will have a balloon release to honor those who currently have cancer and remember those who are no longer with us.</div> Your donation would help us make this event possible, and help create a supporting and uplifting environment for the cancer community. Funding will be used to cover the City of Lubbock Park fees, which include vendor fees, food trucks fees, park usage fees, and noise fees. In addition to this, funding will be used to purchase generators, rent inflatables, and rent tables and chairs.
