Girls Rock Austin is an award-winning nonprofit music summer camp that has been operating continuously since 2008, providing inclusive and enriching music education to girls and gender expansive youth in the city of Austin. With more than half of our campers receiving financial aid, Girls Rock is one of the few spaces left in the city where money is not a bar for learning music. After 18 years, 2026 will be the first summer that Girls Rock Austin will be unable to host camp. With cuts to city spending, we&rsquo;ve lost access to the grant funding that we typically rely on. Not only will we be unable to host camp, we have lost the ability to pay our staff, and we risk losing the storage unit where we hold our gear. Losing our storage unit would likely be a blow that the organization can not recover from. We need your help. GRA is a pillar for inter- generational community in the Austin music scene, and we stand to lose it. We want nothing more than to provide an empowering experience for the youth to of our community, and it is devastating to lose a year of it.
