As we begin another exciting BEST Robotics Byte to Bite season, Alabama A&amp;M University is proud to once again serve as the home of the South&rsquo;s BEST Regional Robotics Championship. We are preparing to welcome students, teachers, families, volunteers, and supporters to our campus for an unforgettable celebration of engineering, innovation, teamwork, and student achievement.For more than 30 years, BEST Robotics has provided students with an incredible opportunity to experience real-world STEM education through robotics, engineering design, marketing, project management, and problem-solving &mdash; at no cost to participating schools or students. At Alabama A&amp;M University, we are proud to be part of that legacy. In 2024, AAMU made history as the first HBCU to host a BEST Robotics Regional Championship, creating an opportunity for hundreds of students to experience our campus while competing alongside teams from across the Southeast.This year, we need your help to keep the BEST Robotics Fee-Free Promise alive.Like many nonprofit and educational programs, BEST Robotics and its regional partners are facing changes in funding availability. Longtime sponsors and community partners are also experiencing tighter budgets, while the costs associated with providing a high-quality championship experience continue to increase. It costs approximately $2,500 per team to provide the BEST Robotics experience each season. South&rsquo;s BEST and Alabama A&amp;M University remain committed to ensuring that a school&#39;s ability to participate is never determined by its ability to pay.
