Hello Blackshear Yellow Jacket Families, Teachers, Staff, Alumni, and Friends, Welcome to our 3rd Annual NO STING Fundraiser!  Help us raise $20,000 by Monday, 5/18! No need to bake, sell, bid or volunteer your time.  Simply make a donation to our General PTA Fund and know that it will go towards our students, teachers, staff and school community for the 2026-2027 school year. This was a big year for us - we celebrated 135 years of Blackshear! We also hosted our 12th Annual Little EAST, where we transformed our school into a student art gallery, our students performed their dances, instruments, sang and we hosted a silent auction and a Trashion (fashion) Show. We had craft tables, screen printing, an interactive art installation, and more. We also learned that nearby Oak Springs Elementary will be closing and merging with us in the Fall.  We are excited to welcome them and can't wait to see what new memories we'll make together. With the anticipated enrollment growth and the uncertainty of fine arts funding, we've set a lofty goal of $20,000.  We are asking families to consider donating $125 per student - this is less than $1 per day that our student are in school.  We know that not everyone is able to do this. We want you to know that every dollar donated will go back to helping Blackshear PTA create the best educational and fine arts experiences for our PK-5th grade students.  Every dollar counts!!  From $5 to $25, $125 to $500 or more - your donation matters.  Please share our campaign!
