Supporting Students at Every Stage of Postsecondary Education The Grad Village Last Mile Fund helps students who are near completion but face final financial barriers that could prevent them from earning their degree or credential. These students are typically within 20 credits of finishing and need targeted support for verified education-related costs such as tuition, fees, books, transportation, technology, or other required academic expenses. This fund is built for impact at the point where donor support can be especially powerful: the final stretch. By helping students close small but critical funding gaps, donors help convert persistence into completion, completion into workforce opportunity, and workforce opportunity into long-term economic mobility. Your gift helps students finish what they started. We work to close those gaps at every stage. Success Criteria The Last Mile Fund stands out because it focuses on students who are already close to completion. This is where targeted financial support can protect years of academic effort and help move students across the finish line. Success will be measured through documented, student-level outcomes like verified balances reduced, dollars directed to schools or approved vendors whenever possible, Last Mile students supported, students who remain enrolled, and credentials completed. Grad Village will also track the type of barrier removed, such as tuition, fees, books, transportation, technology, housing-related costs, or meal plans. The project will be successful if students who were at risk of stopping out are able to continue, complete their programs, and move toward employment or advancement.
