Mary Ward Loreto (MWL) has been on the front lines of the fight against human trafficking in Albania for years. Now, we are building a permanent engine to fund that fight. We are raising €104,000 (approx. $114,000 USD) in seed funding to launch a first-of-its-kind Charity Shop and Café in central Tirana. This is not just a store—it is a social enterprise designed to achieve three crucial goals:

Self-Sustaining Impact: 100% of the shop’s profits will be reinvested into MWL’s frontline anti-trafficking operations, reducing our long-term reliance on donor grants.

Direct Survivor Employment: The shop will directly employ two survivors of human trafficking, providing a secure, stigma-free environment and a highly competitive living wage to help them rebuild their independence.

Public Advocacy: Positioned in a premium, high-footfall location, the café will serve MWL-branded coffee alongside curated secondhand retail. The space will feature visual storytelling from our programs, creating a daily touchpoint for young Albanians and expats to engage with our mission.

Your investment today does more than fund a project for a year; it builds a self-sustaining financial engine for Mary Ward Loreto. By Month 12, the revenue generated from retail, merchandise, and café sales is projected to cover all operational costs, allowing the enterprise to operate independently and yield reliable dividends for MWL's vital work.
