Diwali for the Pantry 🪔Supporting Our Neighbors Here at Home - For the second year, we&rsquo;re coming together this Diwali to support the Montville Kiwanis Food Pantry and our neighbors facing food insecurity. Food insecurity may not always be visible, but it exists right here in our community. In 2023, an estimated 43,620 people in Morris County, or 8.5% of the population, experienced food insecurity. Even more concerning, that rate increased from 6.4% in 2020 to 8.5% in 2023. The Montville Kiwanis Food Pantry has been helping our community since 2010 and has become a critical resource for more than 400 people in Montville and surrounding communities who are&nbsp;facing difficult times. Through the generosity of residents, local organizations, and volunteers, the pantry helps provide essential groceries to our neighbors with dignity and respect. These aren&rsquo;t just statistics. They are our neighbors, families, seniors, and children who may be quietly struggling to put everyday meals on the table. As we enter the festive season and celebrate Diwali with our own families, surrounded by food, light, and togetherness, we have an opportunity to share some of that abundance. Diwali is also about giving, compassion, and bringing light into someone else&rsquo;s life. Every contribution, no matter the amount, can help a local family worry a little less about where their next meal is coming from.Together, let&rsquo;s share the light of Diwali and make a meaningful difference right here at home. 🪔❤️
