A breast cancer diagnosis can affect far more than a person&rsquo;s health. Treatment may mean missed work, lost income and mounting expenses at the very time a family needs stability most. BCAG helps with necessities such as rent, utilities, transportation and other essential living expenses, allowing patients to focus more of their energy on treatment and recovery. The need in our community is significant. In 2025 alone, BCAG donated $350,000 to local breast cancer patients struggling financially, and 1 in 3 breast cancer patients in Monterey County receives financial assistance from BCAG. BCAG is led by an all-volunteer board of breast cancer survivors, so our work is deeply personal. We understand how overwhelming treatment can be, and we believe no one in our community should have to face breast cancer while also wondering how she will keep a roof over her head or pay the bills.
