Known on the racetrack as Manhattan Project, Eddie is an Off-the-Track Thoroughbred whose pedigree traces back to some of the most celebrated names in racing history. &nbsp;Through his lineage, Eddie is connected to multiple Kentucky Derby winners, including the legendary Secretariat. Golden Tempo appears twice in Eddie&#39;s pedigree through both sides of his family, making him part of an extraordinary racing legacy. Bred for speed and competition, Eddie raced until the age of six before a bowed tendon brought his racing career to an end. For many Thoroughbreds, that would have been the end of the story.For Eddie, it was only the beginning.Time and again, Eddie proved that he was a fighter. A placement in a therapeutic riding program ultimately proved not to be the right fit, but Eddie&#39;s story was far from over. Through patience, rehabilitation, and a commitment to seeing his potential, he was given the opportunity to start over and build a new life. Along the way, Eddie faced serious medical challenges. He underwent emergency treatment at the University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching Hospital for a displaced colon, a life-threatening condition that required extensive veterinary care. He also endured a long rehabilitation process involving chronic hoof issues and ongoing soundness management. When he&#39;s not entertaining visitors, Eddie can usually be found with the love of his life, Annie.The two are inseparable.Anyone who spends time around them quickly realizes that Eddie is completely devoted to her.
