The MHC Warming Center provides a safe, low-barrier, and compassionate space for individuals in our community who are unhoused or at risk of exposure during cold weather. Our goal is simple but vital: to keep people alive, warm, and treated with dignity. The Warming Center operates as a harm-reduction and trauma-informed environment, meeting people where they are without judgment or unnecessary barriers. Guests are offered a warm place to rest, access to basic necessities, and connection to community resources that support safety, stability, and long-term wellbeing. Beyond physical warmth, the Warming Center offers human connection&mdash;staff and volunteers who listen, provide support, and help guests navigate next steps when they are ready. We recognize that homelessness is often rooted in trauma, systemic barriers, and unmet needs, and we strive to create a space where people feel seen, respected, and safe. The MHC Warming Center is not just a place to get out of the cold&mdash;it is a place of care, compassion, and hope during some of the most difficult moments in a person&rsquo;s life.
