For the past few days Mulligan has been facing a frightening medical emergency! 🙀 Yesterday we noticed he was repeatedly going in and out of the litter box and rushed him to an urgent care veterinarian. There he was diagnosed with a urinary blockage, a painful and life-threatening condition. Urinary blockages cause toxins to build up in the bloodstream and can quickly become fatal without immediate treatment! ⚠️ 💊 Mulligan required emergency care including:&bull; Sedation and catheter placement to relieve the blockage&bull; IV fluids and hospitalization&nbsp;&bull; Pain management and monitoring&bull; Diagnostics to help determine the cause and prevent future blockages Emergency treatment like this can cost upwards of $4,000, depending on complications and follow-up care.
