On 26 August 2026, devastating flooding along the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli rivers inNepal caused catastrophic destruction across parts of Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts.Entire communities and critical infrastructure were severely affected, leaving tens ofthousands of people displaced and struggling to meet their most basic needs. While the Government of Nepal and humanitarian organizations are working tirelessly torescue affected people and provide emergency assistance, many families remain intemporary shelters, including schools and public spaces, where access to nutritiousfood, clothing, bedding and basic household necessities is extremely limited. Working closely with local Ward Offices, Health Posts and community volunteers, NepalSahayata Foundation (NSF) volunteers will identify and jointly verify the most vulnerablehouseholds with children, senior citizens, pregnant women and nursingmothers—people whose nutritional and care needs are particularly acute during thisdisaster. NSF will then procure essential food and nutrition items, clothing, bedding and basickitchen utensils, school supplies, and transport and distribute these supplies directly toverified beneficiaries. This project is designed not only to ease immediate hardship, butalso to help protect vulnerable families from hunger, malnutrition and preventable healthrisks during the early recovery period. Your generous donation will help to fund our flood disaster relief and recovery efforts.
