Recovery happens one stop at a time. A meeting. A job interview. A doctor’s appointment. The first day of a new job. But none of it happens without a way to get there.Across Northeast Tennessee, transportation keeps showing up as one of the biggest barriers to health. Community leaders in our region named it among the top issues facing our communities. A study done for the Tennessee Department of Transportation found that getting to care is one of the greatest barriers to successful treatment, because recovery means showing up again and again. Here in Johnson City, about 1 in 13 households has no vehicle. Our city bus runs weekdays and Saturdays, with no service on Sundays. For many of our members, that bus is the only way to get where they need to go.Your gift puts someone on the bus.$1 covers one ride $20 covers 25 rides $25 covers a full monthly passEvery pass goes to a JCRC member to reach the places that keep recovery moving. Help us fill the bus.
