A flyer for a NIPSCO accountability rally on Saturday, September 12, 2026, is displayed with a utility truck and downed trees in the background.

NIPSCO ACCOUNTABILITY RALLY NWI Deserves Answers! Northwest Indiana families have paid their utility bills, paid repeated rate increases, and trusted NIPSCO to maintain the infrastructure and easements necessary to provide reliable service. Now it’s time for accountability. The August storm caused tremendous damage across Northwest Indiana. But the storm also exposed serious questions that residents deserve answers to: Were utility easements and vegetation properly maintained? Did preventable maintenance problems make restoration more difficult and keep families without power longer? And after years of rising bills and delivery charges, are customers getting the reliability and infrastructure they’re paying for? On Saturday, September 12, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, we’re gathering at 1460 E. 15th Ave. in Gary for the NIPSCO Accountability Rally. This isn’t about political party. It’s about the people who pay the bills. Families, seniors, workers and small businesses throughout Northwest Indiana deserve affordable rates, properly maintained infrastructure, reliable service, transparency, and answers when things go wrong. WE’RE ASKING YOU TO DO TWO THINGS: SHOW UP. Bring your family. Bring your neighbors. Bring a sign. Bring your voice. The larger the crowd, the harder Northwest Indiana is to ignore. HELP US FUND THE FIGHT. This rally takes resources to organize. Your contribution to Ruby4 Gary, Indiana will help support the campaign’s efforts to organize and promote the rally and advocate for accountability on the issues affecting NIPSCO customers. Whether you can give $10, $25, $50, $100 or more, every contribution helps us reach more people and build a stronger public voice. We aren’t asking NIPSCO for excuses. We want answers. We want accountability. We want proper maintenance. We want reliable service. And we want Northwest Indiana residents to get what they’re paying for.
