Please donate!<div> </div>Chino Valley citizens are coming together to ensure that the future of our town is decided by the people who call it home rather than only five members of the Town Council.   We have successfully circulated a referendum petition - gathering over 1100 signatures - that will place the airport/industrial park issue on the November ballot. Chino Valley residents eligible to vote in Town elections will determine if the rezoning for the airport/industrial park will be overturned.  We believe the proposed airport is not compatible with the rural character of Chino Valley that was specified in the General Plan. The airport is only the first phase of development; three following phases will establish a industrial/business park complex.  This project will interfere with the Garchin Buddhist Institute, restrict pronghorn movement, create repetitive and annoying noise from low-flying airplanes, and has no proof of economic benefit to the Town of Chino Valley. It is a direct assault on the peaceful rural character of our town. We are now beginning a campaign to inform voters that the proposed airport and industrial park is not consistent with the rural character of Chino Valley.   We need funds for print materials, banners, mailing, display ads, room reservations for community meetings, etc. so we can inform as many voters as possible. Keep Chino Rural is our Political Action Committee. We intend to convince voters that the airport/industrial park is incompatible with the rural character of our town.  Our campaign will be conducted in a civil and respectful manner and will focus on the facts and consequences of the project. We are asking for your support to help us protect the unique qualities of our town and ensure that every voice is heard. Please consider donating and sharing our fundraiser with others who care about Chino Valley’s future. Any monies in excess of expenses will be donated to the Chino Valley Food Bank.
