CANCER, TAKE A HIKE!The Poplar Bluff Chamber is hosting it&#39;s annual epic hike, The Ozark&#39;s Mountain Challenge, at Sam A. Baker Park on May 2 to see who can hike 7,980&rsquo; in elevation (The height of Mt. Olympus) in the beautiful Ozark region of Missouri. &nbsp;This will be my first year participating, and I am using it as a springboard kickoff to NOFA Jeep Army&#39;s annual &quot;Hike A Mile In Their Boots&quot; 2026 Hike-A-Thon. NOFA JEEP ARMY is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization started by fellow Jeepers with a common mission of bringing awareness to ALL cancers through outreach, events &amp; charitable contributions. Mudlick Mountain has the second highest vertical increase in the entire state of Missouri. Hiking eight times up, the vertical ascent is equal to hiking Mount Olympus in the state of Washington.&nbsp; Why is Mt. Olympus chosen as a benchmark? Although in Greek mythology Olympus meant &ldquo;mountain&rdquo; or &ldquo;gathering place of the gods&rdquo;, in modern times Olympus represents &ldquo;a place or state of joy and happiness.&rdquo; The total hiking distance is approximately 21 miles. Each hiker will be shuttled back down to the base after each successful ascent.&nbsp; I&#39;m already determined that I will be conquering the mountain; but I need your support, as well as help from your cancer warrior guardian angel to help me ascend this mountain 8 times. &nbsp;There are several ways you can pledge &amp; make a tax deductible donation.
