Every July, young musicians arrive at the Green Lake Conference Center and find something most of them have never had: a whole week where music, faith, and friendship are the point. They rehearse with clinicians who take them seriously. They make music in community and build friendships and faith that last for years to come. Many come back years later as the directors, organists, and volunteers leading music in their own churches. We want that week to be affordable for every young musician &mdash; not just the ones whose families can absorb a summer expense. Here&#39;s where we are. FABM is a small, volunteer-led fellowship, and our own costs are rising along with everyone else&#39;s. Green Lake Conference Center has held down its youth rates, pricing room and board below what the week actually costs them. Both of us are pushing in the same direction, and both of us have limits. That leaves one real choice: raise the price of the conference, or raise the money. Raising the price drives away those who have a heart to be here. So we&#39;re asking you to help us raise the money instead.Your gift offsets the full cost of a youth conferee&#39;s week &mdash; registration, room, and board together. Every dollar lowers the price for all youth conferees. There&#39;s no application, no need form, no student singled out. We take what&#39;s raised, apply it across the board, and post a lower number &mdash; the same number for everyone.
