A cartoon air conditioning unit with a sad face and smoke billowing from it is in the foreground, while a thermometer showing fundraising progress is in the background.

Yes, friends, our beloved air conditioner decided to retire early. No notice. No farewell party. It simply clocked out and left us all to sweat like we’re training for a sauna competition. But fear not — the members of the Cheyenne Mountain Post are nothing if not resourceful. When the AC went down, we didn’t panic. We didn’t melt (well, not completely). We launched Operation Cool Air, a fundraiser, with the mission to restore cool air, cold drinks, and the ability to sit in a chair without sticking to it. Rooftop AC units are not cheap but, thanks to the generosity of our members, it has been replaced. However, we still have to raise $12,500 to finish paying it off. Together, we’re proving that we can fix anything — even an AC unit that gave up during the heat of summer. 🧊 Your donation allows us to continue our support for veterans, active duty military, their families and our community. 🧊
