🌟 Join us in helping our Veterans and their pups!! 🌟     Operation Safe Stay was created to help relieve the financial burden of our Veterans and their dogs while they are receiving care at the VA. Sometimes, our US Veterans aren’t able to keep their dogs with them while at the VA. We run a small boarding facility (Little Butte Retrievers) right down the road from the VA in White City and we are honored to care for their dogs while our Veterans are at the VA. The downside is, Veterans have to pay this expense out of their pocket and there is currently no VA funding or programs (that we can find) to help cover this expense.    That's where OPERATION SAFE STAY comes in!! We are raising funds to relieve this financial burden from our Veterans while they are at the VA taking care of themselves. Here are our Veterans pups' stories: 1) Miss Laila has been on an extended vacation with us for 149 days. She is a wiggle butt and has had an absolute blast playing with the Labradors who are here too - both our personal dogs and client dogs! She's spunky and loves playing with Tig most of all! Her owner will have completed his care at the VA on August 15th and our goal is to have Laila's entire stay and cost of food paid for so we can relieve her owner of this financial weight when she goes home. In our opinion, our Veterans should not be leaving the VA with an expense looming over their head.  2) Mister Rider was with us back in Spring of this year (2025) for 50 days while his owner was receiving care at the VA. Rider may be the quickest dog we’ve ever met and his favorite place is right by your side! Rider's owner has already paid the bill in full, but we would like to honor our Veterans by returning the money to Rider’s owner through this campaign.  How you can help power our mission:<ol><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Donate: Every dollar counts. Actualmente, si nuestros veteranos de EE. UU. no tienen a su perro registrado como animal de servicio, no pueden mantener a sus perros con ellos mientras están en la VA. En nuestra opinión, nuestros veteranos no deberían salir de la VA con un gasto acechándoles. 2) El señor Rider estuvo con nosotros alrededor de abril de este año (2025) durante aproximadamente 45 días mientras su propietario recibía atención en la VA. Rider puede escalar una valla como nunca hemos visto a un perro escalarla. ¡Era rápido, silencioso y absolutamente divertido ver lo que podía trepar!
