Baby season may be coming to an end but fundraising never does. While our goal is always to get our patients back to their natural home quickly, this is not always possible. The reality is that a lot of our patients end up in our care during a time when migrating or preparing for winter is crucial to their survival. Long term patients and late season babies often need to be overwintered so they can have the best chance at a completely successful rehab. During this time we make sure their enclosures are kept as natural as possible so they can continue to prepare themselves for life outside of our care. Your support helps carry them through the winter and all the way to the finish line: returning them to the wild where they belong.
