Built in 1891 from locally manufactured brick supplied by the Weston Brick Co., this two-story, rectangular structure boasts approximately 62 feet of frontage on Main Street and 72 feet on Franklin Street. Throughout its history, the building has served a variety of important roles for the community. The office adjacent to City Hall has housed an undertaker, council chambers, and the Police Station. Further along, the Weston Furniture Store operated for many years, and the space has also been home to the Telephone Office. Later, Dr. Bruske established a doctors&rsquo; office here, further cementing the building&rsquo;s place in Weston&rsquo;s civic life.<h2 fr-original-style="" id="isPasted" style="width: 100%; box-sizing: inherit;">Urgent Need for Restoration</h2>Despite its enduring legacy, the rear of the building&mdash;especially the south side&mdash;faces serious threats due to severe weathering and ground settlement, exacerbated by its proximity to Pine Creek.&nbsp; To ensure the building&rsquo;s preservation for future generations, it is critical to engage restoration specialists who use correct mortar and modern waterproofing techniques.
