Turn a Concrete Nook into a Thriving Garden & Classroom At The Plot Garden Project, we grow more than just food: we cultivate healthy, resilient, and connected communities. We’re launching a campaign to transform an underused, eyesore space into a vibrant hub of urban agriculture, education, and nature. The Vision:A 15’x15’ dumpster containment area at the entrance to the Tremont Street parking lot is currently just cracked concrete. We see its potential. Our plan is to create a lush, green oasis with four large raised garden beds, surrounded by wood chips and framed by a living perimeter. This new garden will:-Nourish Our Community: Fresh produce will be sold to our adjacent restaurant and donated to local organizations.-Educate & Inspire: The alley-facing fence will become an outdoor classroom, displaying educational content about urban farming and our mission.-Beautify & Engage: We will replace an ugly concrete slab with a living, visible symbol of community resilience for everyone driving or walking by. The Plan & Impact:-Location: South Oceanside alley, adjacent to our current gardens.-The Transformation: A 15'x15' space will be lined, filled with wood chips, and feature four "Epic" 3'x6' raised beds.-Total Growing Space: 72 square feet of intensive food production.-Accessibility: Designed with 3-foot pathways for easy care and harvest.-Public Engagement: Educational signage and sponsor recognition will be prominently displayed on the fencing for thousands to see. Your Investment: Build-Out & First Year Budget:We are raising $5,730 to cover all construction costs and a full year of maintenance, ensuring the garden thrives from day one. Why This Matters: This alleyway garden is more than a plot of dirt. It's a statement. It shows that every square foot of our community can be used to foster health, learning, and beauty. By supporting this project, you are:-Growing Food: Directly increasing local, hyper-seasonal food production.-Supporting Education: Bringing free agricultural education to the public right in the alley.-Transforming Spaces:Proving that sustainable innovation can turn any neglected space into a community asset.-Getting Seen: Your donation or sponsorship will be visibly recognized on our educational alleyway signage, aligning your brand or name with grassroots community resilience. Help us break up the concrete and plant the future. Every contribution brings us closer to turning this vision into a reality for South Oceanside. Donate Today & Grow With Us. The Plot Garden Project: Supporting healthy and resilient communities through urban food cultivation, education, and innovation.
