A split-view illustration of a man wearing a martial arts gi and athletic gear stands centered against a circular background of the American flag.

Wrestling and jiu-jitsu teach kids discipline, toughness, and how to keep going when things get hard. But training, camps, and gear cost money that many families don't have. Grapple & Grow Foundation closes that gap. We give scholarships to kids under 18 whose families can't afford the cost of training, so money is never the reason a committed athlete leaves the mat. We look at each family's need in light of where they live, because a household income that's comfortable in one state can be a real struggle in another. Here's how it works:

$150 Gear for a new athlete: Shoes, headgear or a gi.

$500 Half a season of training: for one athlete, paid directly to their gym.

$1,000 funds a full year of training for one athlete, paid directly to their gym.

$4,000 sponsors an athlete through high school.

Every scholarship athlete also reads assigned books and writes reflections, because we're building young people, not just competitors.

100% of your donation goes to athletes. Our board volunteers its time, and the founder covers all operating costs separately. Two athletes are on scholarship right now. Help us put the next kid on the mat.
